I like avatars because they give an identaty right next to the name, I have more compatable avatar pictures, and I have no idea how to make a sig.

I think it might have been space since alot of different stuff was being put up. But I"m guessing here since I really can't remember.

I don't think there was a size limit on the images and they were getting way too big amd the phorum was looking really cluttered.... thats my best recollection.

My guess is that that it would take up too much space to have an avatar 400 pixels wide.

Avatars are nice, and it would be cool to have them back I suppose. But I have gotten used to the signatars, and I would be sad to see them go. If I had to choose between the two, I would choose the latter.

I rather like the sigs... you can fit a lot more into them. But it is certainly easier for me to find avatars of a proper size...
