Totus Tuus Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 We're basking in the 70-degree weather down here
Tindomiel Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Look at that, Maine is almost as warm as Texas! Sheesh.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ Posted January 7, 2007 Author Posted January 7, 2007 Well, a nice polar cold front is coming through soon, so say so long to the fair weather...
stuckinamo Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007
A senior and no snow days. That stinks too! Seniors don't have to make em up.
SAME here!!!! i was hoping for like two snowdays a week!!
You guys are ridiculous. It won't stop snowing in Colorado. There's like...5 inches of just ice on the roads because the mayor is so inept.
That's what Maine is USUALLY like in the winter!!!!!!
Lounge Daddy Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007
We're basking in the 70-degree weather down here
Isn't 70 pretty cold for Texas? Are you going to be ok? :
Lounge Daddy Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 yay! we got.... a bit of snow then it melted at noon
cmotherofpirl Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 its trying to snow here, and I don"t miss it already.
SRMiller Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007
It's 17* here... but still no snow.
I haven't had snow in too long. One reason I left Florida, and now it's not snowing here, either. It is colder, though. actually, I heard it snowed in Florida this year once I left, not enough to do anything, though.
homeschoolmom Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007
It's 17* here... but still no snow.
About ten minutes after I typed this, it started snow... but the really boring powdery kind and practically melts on contact with the ground. Then it stopped.
CrossCuT Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Its snowing right now at my house!
homeschoolmom Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 But not the good, fluffy kind, right? The teeny weeny flakes.
CrossCuT Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Yea, it looks more like dust floating around...
homeschoolmom Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Which is not at all inviting for kids to go outside and play in and stop being so noisy in here all the time...
CrossCuT Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Oh just kick them out! Wrap them up till they look like marshmellows and promise hot cocoa when they come back in! Theyll be fine!
prose Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 There is a blizzard warning here tonight! Gah! There is A LOT of snow in Edmonton. Come visit!
IcePrincessKRS Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I had a doctors appointment today, and between beautiful sunny snow-free home, and the 20 minutes it took me to get to the hospital it was snowing really, really heavily. By the time I got out (maybe an hour) I had a good 2 inches of snow on my car and it was so snowy and windy that my poor Genevieve could barely take a breath. I get maybe 5-10 minutes outside the town the hospital is in and its totally stopped, still nice and clear when I got back to our town (its all rural between towns, lots of farms). I stopped at the store to get bread and milk and had a couple people ask me where I got all the snow from because my car still had clumps clinging to it. lol
Theologian in Training Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Well, I woke up this morning and looked out the window and it was actually snowing....though it was still incredibly sunny out with blue skies, so I could not figure out where it was coming from. I guess it was one cloud hanging over the Church to let me see snow at least one time this winter. It was a pleasant surprise. Of course, now it has stopped and all but melted, but it was nice while it lasted....
cmotherofpirl Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 It tried to snow here but failed miserably, it will be back in the 50's by saturday. But it is cold for the second time this season so I actually turned on the furnace.
brendan1104 Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Buffalo got snow last night, for the first time in like a month or something.
