I'm not a religious sister. Actually, I'm studying to become a priest :lol_roll:

Anyway, I am glad to see another religious sister that wears a traditional habit. It's so great to [i]see[/i] the Faith!

Thanks, Benedict, for the support....

So... Does anyone know how to post in pictures? I am using photobucket with the [IMG] tag but it says [i]You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: [url="http://www.domain.com/picture.gif"]http://www.domain.com/picture.gif[/url], an invalid format is: [url="http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif"]http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif[/url][/i]

Is there another site I should be using?

Try using [img] with lower case letters. For some reason that usually works better for me although I haven't done anything on the new board.

[quote name='StThomasMore' post='1204262' date='Feb 25 2007, 02:00 AM']Do you hear the Traditional Latin Mass or Novus Ordo Missæ at your convent?[/quote]

Good question. As we are in full communion with the Church and we work with young people there is no need to seek an indult for the Traditional Latin Mass to be celebrated for our community, for the Novus Ordo suits our charism.

Our Masses are always reverent, and as I have said before, our community is deeply devoted to the Eucharist and to Mary.

As Christ makes a gift of himself to us, our sisters are called to make a gift of ourselves to others.

[quote]You cannot consider our Savior in action more full of love or more tender than this. In it he abases himself, if we may so express it, and changes himself into food, so that he may penetrate our souls and unite himself most intimately to the heart and body of the faithful (Introduction to the Devout Life, II:21). - St Francis de Sales [/quote]We view the Novus Ordo Missae as being fulling valid.
[quote]
God is not unaware of our love for him, since it is his gift to us; nor can we be unaware of his love for us, since he has proclaimed it so widely; we also recognize that all good things we possess are due to his benevolence (Treatise on the Love of God, 2:22) - St Francis de Sales[/quote]

That is not to say, however, that the Traditional Latin Mass may not be something which enriches the lives of some Catholics. It is just not within the tradition of our community since Vatican II.

In our spirituality, the most holy Eucharist and our Blessed Mother are forever linked. Mary gave to us Jesus and Jesus gave to us Mary. Devotion to our Lady through the rosary and other practices only helps us to be more loving and faithful in our reception of the Eucharist.

[quote]Above all, be deeply, sincerely, and constantly devoted to the Blessed Virgin. If you could only understand how important this is, you would not trade it for all the gold in the world! Therefore, cherish this devotion. I hope and pray that you may one day say, “All good things came to me together with it.” (Wisdom 7:11) - St John Bosco[/quote]

Thank you very much for the question, StThomasMore. May Our Lady bless and guide you.
