Veritas Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 + Anyone know if the Sister Servants of the Eternal Word have gone through any of the blessed vocation transistions? IOW, have they had their professions and novitiate entrances this summer, yet? Pictures Any word on our pm sisters, lilabett and... oh, name escaping me at the moment!
brendan1104 Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 jgirl? I think they're going to get the habit soon. Maybe maggie could update us.

Maggyie Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 (edited) The Sisters are getting their new names and the habit on August 15, the Feast of the Assumption. I believe there will be four new novices. I will let the pham know as soon as I get word! Edited August 9, 2007 by Maggie
Totus Tuus Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I visited with them in February and the two PM postulants were doing great at the time. lilabet had injured her jaw (in her sleep...) but was recovering just fine.
Maggyie Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 My sister, Lilllabettt, is now Sister Mary Amata of the Divine Love of Jesus! I was at work when she called, and my mother forgot to ask her what the other girls' names were. I'm going to see what I can find out
the lords sheep Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 What a beautiful name!!! Can you find out the other names for us?? Especially Sr. Jenny (jgril)? Thanks!
Gemma Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007
lilabet had injured her jaw (in her sleep...) but was recovering just fine.
Sounds like TMJ. They prolly got her a night guard so her teeth can slide as much as they want to without taking her jaw joint out of socket. Blessings, Gemma
be_thou_my_vision Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 That's what they did for me. it's helps a lot. Sorry WAYYYY off topic
brendan1104 Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Of?!
Sr. Jenny is now Sr. Madeleine Marie
jgirlsDad Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I'm not sure if she told us the "of" part or not. She choose Madeleine to honor St. Madeleine Sophie Barat, who founded the Society of the Sacred Heart in France (Jenny was a French major who loved all things French). St. Madeleine sent St. Philippine Duchesne out as the orders first missionary to the New World. She established Sacred Heart School in St. Charles, Mo, which is Jenny's home town.

Totus Tuus Posted August 19, 2007 Posted August 19, 2007 I bet I met Sr. Jenny when I was visiting in Feb. She was on crutches at that time.
IcePrincessKRS Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 I the SsEW. I've never been to visit them, but one sister in particular will always be near and dear to my heart. It makes me happy to see her so at peace with and joyful in her vocation.
