To the untrained eye, it may APPEAR to be a rake beating. However, it is not. the rake simply guides the dog in the appropriate direction. You never actually hit the dog with it. (I've never gone old school with my dog over anything. If he misbehaves, I take away his Nintendo Wii and that generally corrects the behavior)

Today Kodiak drove a sheep into the fence and it rolled over on top of him. The sheep got cut in the face (I thought for a moment that I bought a sheep) and there was blood all over both of them. Kodie sprained a paw in the melee.

But I'm happy to report that both sheep and dog fully recovered.

Pics to come.

I'm glad both pooch and sheep are doing well. I look forward to seeing Kodiak in all his sheep herding glory.

(And some people need to learn to read, hot stuff's dog is named KODIAK. Tess is a different dog, she's just cute in her goggles. ;) )

phew! Your Kodiak is amazing. My kids watched that film 'Babe' (the one with the sheep-pig) and haven't stopped asking for a sheep-puppy.

Ya know, you may have better luck with the ladies if you didn't spend so much time with sheep.

Thats just awesome. Once all this is done I guess you're going to have to buy a sheep farm....

:idontknow: why buy sheep when we have alpaca?

Beautiful Dog.
Nice Sheep.
Does Kodiak ever try to herd you?
One of the funnest things we did when I was in Ireland last year was stop at a Bed and Breakfast/sheep farm. After tea and scones we went out and the dogs brought the sheep in to us. The dogs were awesome. Really high energy though.
Then I found out that a lamb becomes a sheep one it is a year and a day old. Which means that when people eat lamb, they are eating a little baby animal! Someday I will go back and liberate all the sheep in Ireland and Scotland.
