Myers Desecrates The Eucharist

I'd recommend lots of prayer and Blessed Bartolo Longo and our Lady as special intercessors for this spiritually barren man's case.

What if Catholics sent him love notes, lots of love notes on behalf of Jesus.

"I love you, Jesus."

"You did not know what you did, I forgive you, Jesus"

and so on. Imagine thousands of postcards for the rest of his life reminding him that the Jesus he persecutes died for him so that he might have life and have it abundantly.

Other famous atheists have converted...let's pray for yet another conversion! Put his name right next to Hitchens on your prayer lists

I have been kind of bad. I have been praying that his wife and children all convert to Catholicism but, not him. That would be his torture on this earth. I guess I still have a long way to go to become holy. He is a sad, pathetic little man.

Not only am I a Catholic and one who respects others, but I am also a high school student, with, I might add, a cumulative weighted GPA of 4.2, awards for research on Polygon-Shaped vortices at both the Florida state and International Science and engineering fair, and the president of my National Honor Society chapter, amongst other accolades and achievements. I expect to graduate with an IB diploma, as I'm in the IB programme. I'll be graduating in 2010. Upon learning about this catastrophe, and due to the shocking lack of preventative action from yourself, and your associates and higher-ups alike, I can safely say that I will not have to consider attending the University of Minnesota - Morris, nor any other University of Minnesota campus. It is a sincere shame that you had not taken any sort of action before it got to this point.

Very nice letter. Mine was a bit emotional. I did mention what a wonderful bit of publicity Meyers is generating for the U of M. Enough to keep away a lot of prospective students.

I'll say. I just hope Catholics, and [i]anyone[/i] who has a shred of dignity about them, will keep this in mind upon applying to universities in Minnesota.

I saw this immediately after coming home from Adoration. Included in my prayers was that stuff like this would happen less and the Eucharist be more revered... so it was extra saddening to read I don't know how he possibly could have been more disrespectful. Well, I'm sure it's possible, but I don't want to think about that. And what does it prove? That he doesn't fear God. Big whoop. Lots of people don't fear God. How noble.

And the Koran isn't considered God Himself by anyone, so his religious assaults on Islam and Catholicism aren't even on the same scale. Edited July 25, 2008 by lilac_angel
