Barbarus Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 We haven't really discussed wedding cake flavors at all ... frankly I am not picky when it comes to cake. It is all good.

I'd never had a pineapple cake before, so we went for it. And then Bart's parents got him the chocolate truffle cake just because.

VeniteAdoremus Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 My brother and I are the only vegetarians in our family, and we don't expect anyone to cook for us. We are very much tickled if someone does, though Stuff we don't like: people getting "just a taste" of the vegetarian food (especially if we or our mum brought it). 40 people times "just a taste" equals no food left for us! Stuff we do like: cake, any cake

We both know what it's like to bring your own food; my fiancé is not a vegetarian but he is the vegetarian ambassador to his family. (I get embarrassed asking strangers if I can use their microwave or bring a dish of my own) ...And I've watched my dear friends go to parties and not be able to eat anything but plain chips and veggies. However, at Christmas dinner all bets are off. Everyones going to try the lentil loaf and herbed gravy - or no desert.
fides quarens intellectum Posted August 19, 2008 Posted August 19, 2008 i think the votes of those who will be attending should count at least three times.

And a layer chocolate and a layer white for our cakes. So, hopefully you're vote was one of those.

Tastey and delicious and just think... in addition to all that sugar and empty carbohydrates you get a vitamin C! Neither of my sisters had a wedding cake. We never missed it to be honest.... ONe had sheet cakes or various flavors which went over really well and the other had home made cookies in the shape of snowflakes. In both cases they saved a couple hundred dollars and the guests were still happy.[/quote] But its fake vitamin C, not the good old natural stuff.
