National Novel Writing Month Is Coming!

I just switched my desktop wallpaper from the "remember to pray the election novena" one to a NaNoWriMo calendar...

...except I accidentally selected the one for reaching 100k by the end of the month. I saw "13,334" for today and almost cried!

Whew, found the one that reads "6,668." Much better!

So far 7,119 words of aliens mostly thinking about themselves using fancy vocabulary. Yep, totally not going to make anyone read this thing.

The conversation on the phone after his above post:

"You know what?"
"What?"
"I wanted to reply to your post that I know with 'Of course I know. I'm omniscient!'"
"But then PM would call you a heretic..."[/quote]

I love how we (a collective we) use PM smilies in phone conversations.

I have finished a sentence with verbal emoticons.

"I think I lost it. Mellow."

Wait until you start doing verbal signs of affection.

Well, I guess you'll know in another, ah, 25 days, hm?

(Hey, this was YOUR dumb idea! :P )

Argh. I started out the day with a horrible dizzy spell that lasted for a few hours. Once I finally recovered I used up the rest of the day arguing with people. (Mostly not here, though there was some of that too.) I feel all unsettled and weird. Also, I want potato chips.

You know what this all means. (PMS! :annoyed:)

If my usual pattern holds, I will start feeling okay about 30 minutes before it's time to go to bed. Better get ready to write fast, then...

Well I guess that gives me an advantage over the competition. Boo ya!

No clue as to my wordcount, but I've reached the pivotal moment of chapter one. This is the moment when refugees are slaughtered on suspicion of carrying plague, and a journalist is crying out that the United States does not do such things; to which an equally upset minder assigned to him remarks that the United States died in the fires of "The Event".

That's a hefty chapter...

I didn't write yesterday because I was exhausted and doing homework. While my boy is at RCIA, I'm going to write. Thankfully, I was ahead, so skipping a day didn't hurt me. The weekend is here, too.
