Vincent Vega
Technically, wouldn't you get sepsis or something if you didn't dispel those...fluids? And sepsis may lead to death. So, doesn't that mean, then, that menstruation isn't entirely pointless?

After an entire day of feeling like croutons and basically being an all-around witch, now I'm getting cramps. Ick. Times infinity.
Cramps later in your period? Hmm.. I used to have them the first day to the point where sometimes I literally could not stand up and milder ones the second day. The rest of the week (they usually lasted 5-7 days) was not as painful, but I still felt uncomfortable and gross. My last two cycles my cramps have not been nearly as bad and they've only been about 4 days long! I don't think it's any coincidence that before these last cycles I started consistently eating much better and exercising more. So, even though I seem to have reached a plateau in my weight-loss, the other benefits are keeping me motivated! I find myself eating less, but making less healthy choices when Aunt Flo is visiting.

(Which, for you normal people, means that fasting is great for
preventing unwanted blood clots!
) But, I'll survive. Fortunately, I don't do anything important anyway. Would be different if I had to work or take care of someone.
picchick
I never had cramps until I had my wisdom teeth taken out and I took pain killers... Also, I recently learned heavy bleeding runs in the family and my grandmother had to have her uterus removed. She also had an ulcerated sore on her ankle that never healed. My mom has told me many horror stories about her mom and the vein popping on her ankle... Last week, I was in so much pain, I ended up puking... fun stuff. This is a lovely thread. Why didn't I know about this?
...This seriously was one of the most random moments of my day.
