i wonder why all those calling out the "inexperience" of Palin aren't calling out the inexperience of this woman who has absolutely no qualifications to be a Senator...

hmmmm...liberal double standards......

I don't know what, if any, qualifications she has to be a Senator. I don't think there really are any informal qualifications, to be truthful. Knowledge of the legislative process, good interpersonal skills, management ability. I dunno....it's not the same thing as Palin, though. That's for sure. Palin would probably make a great senator.

But let's be honest: this woman is only able to pursue this seat because of her last name.

This is getting even more bizarre. She now has competition from Fran Drescher (who starred in the TV series "The Nanny"):

I can just imagine turning on C-SPAN to watch a Senate debate and hearing that annoying nasal voice "Mr. Sheffield - I mean Mr. Biden!"

This was discussed in the Nepoism (sic) Thread. She's as qualified as anyone could be, I guess. I don't really know what the qualifications are, but she's well liked, a respected scholar, and has experience raising money for education in NYC. She'll also get more clout than any other Frosh Senator because of her name, so it might not be a bad move for NY.

She has arguably as many qualifications as Hilary did when she went to the Senate. Hilary is going to be mad though. When the Kennedy's came out for Obama was when things started to really turn for Hillary in the primary race.

i can just see the ticket now:

2012 Obama/Kennedy <_< and NO ONE will complain about her lack of experience...
Hillary's camp doesn't like this, and they are the ones trying to keep Kennedy out of the Senate...possibly because it looks like Hill has no chance to ever gain the White House...
