Only two more sleeps before I leave I am in a beautiful space right now - kind of saying goodbye to everything but not in a sad way. My family say that this time seems very different than the first time - maybe I'm growing up? I will try to post on May 8th if I can - I should be in WV then and the public library has internet access. A phatmass benefactor wanted me to be able to go visit the nuns there, and sent me money for this - I have been overwhelmed by how generous people have been to me - all for love of God. Thanks phamily.

Thank you so much for your offer to pray for us, and I do ask you to keep my family in your prayers; we have a lot of difficulties right now, most especially with a daughter-in-law who wants to explore wicca. I have been keeping in my prayers that all will happen according to His will for you, and know here you are going off to Sheffield! I'll be going for my first monastery visit and interview June 4th-8th to the Carmel of Buffalo. I have felt a pull to this monastery, and now that i'm all scheduled to go, I know that it's His will. I know this doesn't necessarily mean that this is where He's calling me to go, but what i'm desiring is that all will happen as He wills, and I trust it will be so. Please keep me in your prayers. Whether the Lord wills that you stay at Sheffield or not, I pray that this experience will bring you closer to Him. May God fill your heart with His graces and blessings always!

We need holy men and women religious praying for this!

I am trying to pack so don't have time for individual replies right now but will try to get online in a week before entering. I have printed out all the prayer requests and will make sure that I remember each and every one! Thank you, thank you all. I am so happy that I started crying today, and my sister-in-law has told me to hold it together - lol! ! She is making me a special goodbye dinner tonight and she is the one getting up tomorrow morning to drive me to the airport at 4.30am!! Good practice in the virues of patience and perseverance! In email from Mother Mary there today, she states that Annie will enter as a postulant with them this Sunday. Let's keep her in our prayers.

I do hope that she will be able to post one last time from a library like she hoped.

Possibly this is where the Lord has called her, and i'm so happy for her. May the Lord continue to give her heart His graces, blessings, and strength to accomplish His holy and perfect will!

Nunsense Posted May 6, 2009 Author Posted May 6, 2009 (edited) Hello phatmass phamily from Wolverhampton, England! I have been in Sheffield since last Saturday and I just love them so much! Laudem Gloriae is right - this coming Sunday after Vespers Benediction and Vespers, I will enter the enclosure, and by God's grace, live there for the rest of my life! I want you all to know that I have been praying for everyone here, especially for those who asked for prayers, and for those benefactors, who know who they are! Thank you all so much for your prayers for me! I am at the library down the road from the Wolverhampton monastery and will be spending tonight and tomorrow night with them. I had to attend to some business today, so decided to take an extra day with them, just to give me some time to chat in the parlor with them all! They just got a new postulant too - from the Philippines! I am so glad for them. The Prioress and Novice Mistress from WV attended a formators meeting fairly recently, and on the way back home, they stopped in at Sheffield and spent time visiting with Mother Prioress there. Mother made me laugh when she told me about their visit, because they told her that I would be very happy to see that they had so many hermitages on their grounds, and they also have a shower!!! (WV only had a bath). I just love all these women so much - they are so kind and generous hearted. Anyway, many prayers for all, most especially for those discerning -- but for everyone!!!
