So Who Will Be Attending A Corpus Christi Procession?

1 mile walk from our Catholic Center to the Cathedral in 96 degree heat plus humidity (making it feel about 107) lol is too much for a preggers person.

Our previous parish priest does one in Minneapolis. It goes to 8 or 9 parishes all within about 7 square blocks of each other. Some of the different parishes are cool. The Ukrainian church is definitely the most ornate :) It's really cool because the benediction is said in the language that is predominant in whatever church it is said in, e.g. the benediction is in Spanish at the latino church, Ukrainian at the Ukrainian church, etc. I'm not sure which language the Maronite one is though :detective:

The Maronite would likely be aramaic. The Maronite parish near me uses aramaic for the consecration and other parts of the Mass.

Our procession was awesome! Over 30 altar boys, the Knights of Columbus, First Communicants spreading rose pedals fit for the path of a King, police escorts (complete with flashing lights), traditional hymns and litanies, Benediction at six or seven altars that were set up along the 1 mile path, parish groups with banners, parishioners following along, singing and praying… It was beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

Aaron had his first Eucharistic Procession yesterday...but ours was only about 100 ft.

sounds wonderful.
We do it when the weather cooperates, and it is supposed to be 27 degrees tomorrow (that's 80 degrees American), so we will make our procession past the prostitutes and drug dealers. That always gets their attention. We also have a big one downtown at the basilica later in the day.
that's appropriate, don't you think? :) they are probably in need of seeing Him most.

Ours was contained entirely within the Church.
