So My Phone Went Through The Washer

I guess I should put it in the dryer now...........logical choice.

I get home from work. Take shower, bring my laundry down, put a load in. Go do stuff. Couple hours later I get ready to go to my evening class, and I can't find my phone. My sister calls it and says she's hitting my voicemail right away which means it's off. Bad news. I knew I didn't leave it off.....which means....I go open the washer and take the first pair of pants out.....and there's a solid object in the pocket....:duh:

:weep: :rip: :reaper:

I took some solace in that it was a free phone and I got a year out of it. Unfortunately, the next one wasn't free. :(.

Ironically last summer my phone got wet on a float trip. :sailing: Not on a good pace with phones and summers. :ohno:

I dropped my phone in the toilet once. After it dried out, it was still functional, except for the zero and the seven keys.

I bet your parents were understanding. Yes? I think I would hang onto your phone next summer. Apparently summer and your phones don't get along.

Would be a safe bet. I have good parents.

If you remove the battery, and submerge it in dry rice, sometimes you can save it. I've washed my phone and saved it that way.

Mine has been dropped in the bathtub twice and dried out fully functional. The second time the clock was messed up for awhile but that seems to have gone back to normal now.

A 100 degree F oven overnight, after you have removed the battery and memory card should help.

Forget contractors, they should make them for mothers with toddlers. :hehe: I had phones drown at least 6 times now.

My son wraps his in triple layers of plastic wrap because Kelsey tries to eat it every change she gets.

It was never the eating it that was the problem. It was the toilet, fish bowl, glasses of water, and bathtub that did my phones in. lol I'm just glad I've never been a sucker for the most expensive phones out there. I'm happy with a dorky little phone, as long as it makes calls and sends texts I'm good. Can you imagine having an iPhone and watching it land in the toilet or bathtub?

The only thing I had to worry about my kids drowning in the toilet were my keys or shoes. There was that plumbers bill for a flushed apple.

I have the tendency to constantly lose my phone, but I always manage to get it back somehow.
