BG45
OT: Isaiah - It has always comes to the fore in the darkest moments of my life and given me hope. NT: the Gospel of John - It's not a synoptic Gospel, it delves deep. Overall: Dunno, probably Isaiah, but maybe Sirach...I learned so much from it. Angel*Star
Old Testament: Isaiah - I love how it foretells of the life of Christ. New Testament: Gospel of John - It is poetic and forward and direct.

VoTeckam
Job wins hands down from the OT. I know it seems strange but I am incredibly encouraged by Job's story. We have all suffered through times like Job experienced and some of us have even had the pride to be angry with God, but in the end Job decides that he is comforted by his smallness in comparison to God. I think that is a powerful revelation. My favorite book of the new testament would likely be the Gospel of Luke. I think Luke's prespective as a Gentile is very valuable.
