You realize this is highly ironic when said in defense of Ms. Coulter.

I'm not saying it in defense of Ms. Coulter, I'm saying it in regards to people who would laugh or enjoy it when someone they dislike—such as a media pundit—has harm done against them (like being punched in the face). It's childish.

Like I said before, I very much dislike and disagree with Michael Moore and a lot of other liberal blowhards, but I don't hate them or want to see harm come to them. That's my point.

What about pie?

Pie them all, I say.
So would you guys enjoy seeing Michael Moore or Janine Garafolo get it in the face too?
i dont know garafalo at all. that said i havent seen michael moore be nearly as obnoxious and hateful directly at people as Coulter has been. he can be a jerk but less of the immediate reaction get punched in the face jerk. still, if he was being an ass to someone and they punched him in the face i would probably laugh.
A fist, no.

A pie ... yes.

I seem to remember Ms. Coulter almost getting pied once. Alas, she escaped.
In that particular incident, I believe the perps "threw like girls", according to Ann, at least. The pie didn't come anywhere near her.

I find Ann to be sharp, viper kind of sharp. She does not use soft soap or dance around a point. She performs lots of research and has a knack for using lessons from the past to illuminate the present.

Some will be uncomfortable with her style, as most have with Rush (caller abortions, gurgling cod, "on loan from God," etc.), but discomfort is not an adequate refutation for her arguments. Presentation should be taken into consideration, but not a dominating factor... at least for me.

Myself, I like someone who cuts to the chase and lays the cards out on the table. Ann prompts me sometimes to go "Whoa. Never thought of it that way." For all that, I like her.

There are other ways she and Michelle could get their opinions out; their way is just one of many. It's a salad bowl of styles in the world of political opinion. I like each one, depending on my mood.

Lounge Daddy
Rather too vitriolic, and I don't agree with some of her assumptions, but she makes good points.
Ya, I share your feelings. I dig her points and the facts that she uses to make her points. I share many of her views -- she even almost joined the Libertarian Party.

But her inflammatory comments ...what can I say? She's also an entertainer. It gets the attention she needs to sell her columns and books.

The way she tells it, she was going to run as a Libertarian, but they wouldn't let her because she wouldn't support legalizing marijuana. Sorry, I can't spell that. :P
