Resurrexi Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 The patron saint of Phatmass is St. Michael the Archangel. Thanks for voting, everyone!

princessgianna Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 cool pic but I am still sure that dUSt still has the final say!
OraProMe Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 STOP WITH THE HORRIBLE ARTISTIC RENDITIONS OF SAINTS AND ANGELS. THAT'S HORRIBLE. HE LOOKS HORRIBLE.
picchick Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I prefer this:
zunshynn Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 (edited) Icons are awesome... so much depth. Unfortunately, so often Western art makes men look... well, feminine. I don't like a girly looking St. Michael. Edited July 22, 2009 by zunshynn
Resurrexi Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009
I prefer this:
I prefer this icon to that one: That said, I like the Medieval painting of St. Michael the best. He doesn't look any less masculine in that painting than in the Eastern icons.
elizabeth09 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 DUst always have the final say on which saint we will have.

OraProMe Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 He looks like a fat little gamer who needs a haircut in the first one. I do like the icons though. I have this prayer card that the PP gave us when we first served Mass. It has a great picture of St. Michael!

The one you posted is probably a copy of a copy, etc., of the one I posted. I really like this painting of St. Michael:
Resurrexi Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 I also like this painting of St. Michael:
Resurrexi Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 I also like this mosaic of St. Michael found in St. Peter's Basilica, though you see it everywhere:
