Which is why I said, "You're talking about ameliorating a problem which never would have occurred had you remained single." Children are not the problem. Vomiting is. I was pointing out the irony that getting married, indirectly, caused the problem of vomiting. It was not a declaration that the good of childbearing fails to outweigh the evil of nausea.
Gotcha. It did sorta come across that way though. The idea of "if you had stayed single, you wouldn't have that problem" type attitude. Or the attitude I've faced on many occasions of "if you had used protection, you wouldn't have this problem"

I mean, we're talking about an amelioration of a problem that would not have existed had you stayed single. : ) ~Sternhauser
True enough. Not all my vomiting in recent months has been attributable to pregnancy though ... I have had gallbladder issues as well. Although that situation was likely exacerbated by pregnancy.
My navigator doesn't need to stop at a rest area to answer the call of nature. On the other hand, Ms. Garmin does try to get me killed some times. "When possible, make U-turn into oncoming traffic." ~Sternhauser
I did do that to my husband once, on the way through Chicago. I'd suggested that he stop for a bathroom, and 20 min. later we hadn't stopped and the situation was urgent. I made him pull off, in what turned out to be a not-very-nice area, and I ended up jumping out of the door and crossing three lanes of traffic to get to the bathroom. His preference, like yours, would have been to find a nice secluded roadside stop. We may or may not have done that on the way to Colorado, multiple times. He mocks me all the time about not finishing my food when we eat out. I do like wedding rings too. In addition to the deterrent factor, they are sparkly and pretty. Catholictothecore
To all you married people out there: You are in inspiration. You have all chossen what I believe is the ultimate martyrdom; one so slow and lingering that it takes nothing short of everyday of your lives. And I say that with a spirit of jest and joy. You all make my heart sing praises to God. Thank you for not being afriad. Catholictothecore

Bravo to you all for accepting the challenge of being a good spouse, and showing on this thread that the incredible graces God brings through married life do make that possible. RemnantRules
- gives you a reason to remember important dates - gives you access to use words like "sweetie, hun, honey, baby, love" - That first time saying "my wife/husband" and that thought in your head that asks "Woah! Who said that?" - For woman: being able to change your last name - Being able to name your children! - An extra brain to help you remember things that you easily forget - Someone who pushes you spirtually and keeps you farther away from sin than you could on your own Keep them coming!
It must be nice to be ABLE to take care of them (yay marriage). I'm just kinda saying from 1500+ miles and a country aways. It smells of elderberries.
