How many people are taking a SCF course and how is it doing for them? I am in both Prue Freedom and Purity Force. So far I am doing great! Alsmost a week, 1/3 the way there. Aloysius Posted February 22, 2004 Author Share Posted February 22, 2004 willguy, our day numbers are number of days in a row we've resisted the temptation. wow, tomarrow is day 18. ummm wow. wow. double quadrouple triple sunday wow. that makes 3 more days to 'break a habit' as the health class says, 21 days... when i hit 21 i'm gonna flip out. praise God! praise Jesus Christ ( _/ :bends knee) ahhhh except i guess if i were to fall after 21 (pray that doesn't occur) it would make me more culpable.. ah well... as we are lifted higher and higher up the cliff by the Lord, the further a fall beneath us becomes. DAY 17 praise glory honor to the Lord of Hosts! We need to remember that just because we don't give in for a set number of days doesn't mean that we are free from that temptation forever. I struggled with pornography for a long period (I was addicted by the time I was in eigth grade). I did really well for a long period of time(several months). Then about a week ago, I gave in. I really don't know why, and I really wish I hadn't, but the past is the past. Basically, I'm just trying to make sure that everyone has a heads up so that you don't do like I did. I got confident in my own strength and ability to fight temptation, and I found out how weak I truly am. Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen. Willguy, i completely understand. notice my GLORY TO GOD for me not giving into temptation. not sposedta be 'number of days we've been strong enough to resist' but 'number of days we've been begging GOd and receiving the grace to resist' that's def. happened to me before, where i get overprideful, overconfident in my own strength, but by the grace of God AND by being open and honest with people around me and my fellow resistance on PhatMass <adding in the second threat that now ppl will realize when i've given in, one extra lil incentive> it's all Him, it's all Him, i am weak He is strong, He's pulling me out of the hellhole i deep down seem to be drawn towards. 1.
