Are you going to live at home or in the monastery after formation? I know they have married and single women and some stay in the world and others enter as contemplatives. We have at least one that I know of in Perth, Western Australia, and probably more in Australia, but I am not all that familiar with them.

I'm single but I will be living at home. I would love to live in community but as I live with my Mother, and her health is not good, it is just not possible at the moment.

You are going to be missed! Please know that you are in my prayers for perseverance and love. Remember, above all things, Jesus Christ Himself has called you to be a Sister and the opinions of others matter little in the scheme of things. In the end, Christ will be our final judge so live as a Sister as faithfully as you can. And if you would spare a prayer for your lil sis here, I'd appreciate it!

Wow - what a wonderful thought about your posting again! We will miss you.

I don't know if I will still be here when you are allowed to post again, but perhaps one day I will be allowed online again too. Posting on phorums isn't a big Carmelite thing (enclosure you know), but I will try to convince them that this is a necessity for new vocations these days! The way I see it, they already use phone and fax and email, and if this kind of thing is properly monitored, it could be a useful tool for discernment. Anyway, whatever the future holds, best wishes for you and prayers always.

My word! How did you count those days?

You'll be back on before you know it! God-willing, I will still be posting here, if God doesn't decide to send me to university to major in music performance! According to L_C, it is a very tedious process, so my time will be consumed. I'm hoping and praying that I will be able to go in a few years after lessons and a successful audition. Please keep me in your prayers!
