Added.
Been keeping pretty busy with some other stuff this week, so I don't know when the next one will be finished. Maybe I'll have some time tonight.

ARFink,

I wonder if you realize how much talent you have! :) Your avatars are beautiful.

When you have a few moments I'd love to have one of your avatars.

To give you some ideas... I love egrets, and I'd love something with an egret and a sunset. You can find lots of great images to play with if you google 'egret' and 'sunset' Too many to post here!!!! I have always loved the idea of the egret reflected in the water as an image of how we reflect God in our everyday lives....

Here's one sample egret photo FYI... but there are lots more. I'm actually partial to the ones that are flying. But use your wonderful gifts to find the right one for me!

A second thing - While I was looking for egret photos for you, I found this razzle dazzle website that might interest you -- apparently the artist takes photos and turns them into CROSSES!

ARFink, the artist's cross images are just gorgeous and might give you some ideas. I love his comment: "There is no place where God is not." They all start with simple, ordinary things... that get transformed by the cross.

Thanks again... take your time!

I'd love to do more landscapes, you just gave me a great excuse. The few that I have done have been described by others as "alien," "surreal," or "impressionistic." I love sunset/sunrise because I can get wild with the colors. Ever noticed how nothing is the "right" color at those times of day? I have.

I also tend to paint bright scenes with that stippled, over-exposed "dirty lens" sort of look because that's how I see. My eyesight is pretty poor, and bright objects blur my vision and pick up speckles on my lenses or in my eyes.

But I'm getting technical again. Landscapes are just plain fun.

I would prop your last email, but I have over-proped. I really need to stop that... or find someone who will sell me some on the black market! (or is that the Phat market?) (what would the mods say!)

(I know.. "I saw what you did there") ;)

I know what you mean about seeing sunsets in a different way because of how you see -- I've always liked Impressionistic art because it looks the way the world does to me when I take off my glasses. Beautiful... soft, velvety... until I walk into something. Broke my toe last year that way. Funny.... that recliner really DID look soft. It wasn't. :wall:

Look forward to seeing what you come up with!

P.S. -- I'm very partial to teal and turquoise. :)

Hey arfink!

I'd like something for my avatar. Here's what I'm thinking: I'm a college teacher, graudate student, rhetor for Christ. I teach and study writing and rhetoric. I also tell my students, frequently, to keep calm. Then I pray for them silently. (hence my current avatar).

I wish for Christ's presenece everywhere, even the public school where I teach :)

What can ya draw me? :)

Not sure if Arfink saw this one to add to his list, don't want my lovely lady-friend to be overlooked :P

Justice and Patience. Rhetor4Christ is ahead of me and the egrets at sunset. Very sweet, St. Olaf!

OK, Chrysophlax's pic. Realized she should have been on the list first of all, she's been waiting a while. Cookie dragon thing. With beefy arm.

and one for Rhetor (this is kinda a joke, so I'll probably do a more proper one later)
