It also depends where you are going to be living as far as insurance is priced. I don't think it is really possible to get anything under $200 a month for a single woman with good health. I imagine you are no longer on your parents' insurance.

Here is a good place to compare providers:

I looked at Anthem Blue Cross/Blue shield and they seemed to be reasonably priced. They also match you up with an agent you can help you find a plan that works.

About the phone cards, are they just the prepaid ones? If so you can get them at a grocery store or Wal-Mart.

Thanks for the info TT. I've been looking at phone cards in detail and it seems that a lot of them have maintenance fees and overly priced connection fees. I don't want to get a phone card that basically has no funds left after 2 months just because of weekly maintenance fees. I was looking at the AT&T cards at walmart but the reviews were not at all positive....

Good news. I spoke to Mother last night and it looks like I can enter this year so I can say that I am definitely entering this year. She needs to talk to her council and get some stuff sorted and the I will have my entrance date.

I am reviving this thread because there are still some things I need to get.

Yay!!!!!!

Thank you all for the prayers and the support.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :yahoo: :yahoo:

I was nearly in tears when I read your very happy news! I am so thankful to God that He heard your heart's desire and our prayers and is working hard to get you in the convent this year! I know it would have been so difficult if you had to wait another year -- heck, you've been waiting 2 years so patiently that your patience is rewarded.

I hate that I can't do more to help you with your student loans but I have been lifting up your intention in prayer. I wish I knew someone who could help, but sadly, I do not. Hopefully you'll have a plan of action before you leave.

Please post what else you need so I can help you find it! :)

I know. I might come on the 26th so I can see you (feel special) since I am going to visit family till the 3rd. The other option is to go to Palm Bay on the 4th of August (you're going to be in Melbourne that weekend right?) Text me so we can plan.

Is anyone planning on entering having to get phone cards? I'm looking for some recommendations.
There is an online site where you can buy phone cards and do lots of other things as well. I have used them for international calls and they are pretty cheap.
http://ekit.com/ekit/home/

Above is their main webpage but this one is specifically for the phonecard http://ekit.com/ekit/About/PhonecardFeatures

So I have two more things to get on my list (as far as books go)
One is easy but the other I can't seem to find. I know some of the ladies preparing to enter in the next few weeks have had to look for some rather hard to find books so I'm wondering if anyone can help.

I need to find Flannery's books on Vatican II documents and can't seem to find them. I was gifted a $50 gift card to Barnes and Noble and was hoping to get it from there but it is not looking like a possibility; the ones I found on there were used and not in too good quality.

I tried general searches but the prices are absolutely outrageous. Has anyone had to find these books? If so where did you find them?

Help!!!!!!

Mary's Margaret

I saw Flannery's Vatican Council II: the Conciliar and and Postconciliar Documents for $25.19 and Vatican Council II:Constitutions, Decrees and Declaration for $16.88. on Amazon. Hope that helps.
