mortify ii Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Tired of all the negativity, here is something interesting albeit totally unrelated to religion or current events
Luigi Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I never drink soda. Unless there's bourbon (or rum!) in it. The alcohol cancels out all of the negative effects of the soda.
Perigrina Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 I just drink sprite. Is that any better? Anything made with that much high fructose corn syrup is very bad for you.
Fidei Defensor Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Too much diet coke has caused me 2 kidney stones.
mortify ii Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 Sugars and artificial sweeteners are terrible for your health.
Perigrina Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Everything in moderation. A moderate (healthy) amount of sugar is far below the amount consumed by the average person. It is difficult to recognize what is moderate when everyone around you indulges to excess.
mortify ii Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 My monthly dose of pseudoscience in one thread. What's pseudoscientific about the amount of sugar in your diabetes causing soda of choice?
Fidei Defensor Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 My monthly dose of pseudoscience in one thread. There are plenty of valid studies that show poor health outcomes associated with higher consumption of soft drinks. My kidney stones can't be proven to be caused by soda, but phosphoric acid in the soda can increase your phosphate levels which can also lead to a higher risk of stones in the long run.
The Bus Station Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 If you stop drinking soda you will turn into a pony, this is also a fact
Credo in Deum Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Mortify just showed us how to freebase coke. Me thinks someone has a problem which goes deeper than soda consumption. Is there something you want to tell us Morty McFly?
