homeschoolmom Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 Iowa does, well... stink... as kids we always had to go down there to visit my grandparents... My parents grew up in Iowa... (course Wisconsin does too... anywhere with farm animals does... even Minnesota)
theculturewarrior Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 Midwest, pfah. Y'all need to come to Texas! It's too dang chilly up there! Besides, Texas has the best fajitas, the prettiest women (Chicana power! ) and the best education for the buck. Texas has the most interesting history, the most unique culture, and the prettiest women. (Southern belles, ) Texas is just the best.
cathgirl Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004
I make fun of Iowa because it's easy. And because Omaha and Council Bluffs have an old rivalry. You'll see cows in Iowa, but there are more, and higher meat-quality cows in Nebraska...just don't get too attached... Oh, and I know how to pronounce Des Moines...Omaha's close enough that we hear it everyonce and a while in the context of "smelly" and "Dante's Inferno". I've been to Adventureland!
I've been to Adventureland too!! hehe...Yeah, I have cousins who live in Nebraska and we go back and forth making fun of each toher!! It's mostly about how we Iowans really, really, really, don't like the Huskers, and how they really, really, don't like iowa/iowa state. It's a lot of fun. What about Iowa cows? THey are better than any ol' nebraska ones!! WHY DOES EVERYONE SAY THAT IOWA STINKS!!!!!!!
Thomas Michael Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004
*Disclaimer* 21. And you'll realize that Eau Claire is NOT something you eat.
Maybe you should change "eat" to "drink". "Eau" is French for "water".
