I know this because Julius Caesar used the office of Pontifex Maximus as a stepping stone to Consulship, then became Dictator for Life (but never emperor, despite popular opinion).

You can easyly believe one part of the Bible and totally disreguard another part of the Bible.

[/quote] Yes to a degree they are the samething, but if "you knowly" take a term or verse in the Bible that means the opposite of what it really means "God's Prepspective" your taking your Prespective over God's. Like if something is a symbolic meaning and you take it litteral your basically taking Your Opinion over God's Way. or if something is Litterial and you take it Smybolicly your taking your prespective over God way. Ya can't do that, There are some things in the Bible that are Symbolic there are alot of things in the bible that are litterial, and in alot of cases some are both.
