I say not necessarily true..... There is no more formal cooperation in abortion than publicly supporting it from a political platform.

CCC 2272 Formal cooperation in an abortion constitutes a grave offense. The Church attaches the canonical penalty of excommunication to this crime against human life. "A person who procures a completed abortion incurs excommunication latae sententiae," "by the very commission of the offense," and subject to the conditions provided by Canon Law. The Church does not thereby intend to restrict the scope of mercy. Rather, she makes clear the gravity of the crime committed, the irreparable harm done to the innocent who is put to death, as well as to the parents and the whole of society.

He is a "Cafeteria Catholic" at best. Either you are Catholic and agree with all the Pope and Magisterium hold true............ or you are catholic...sometimes, or not.
Someone that has been excommunicated cannot receive sacraments, they are still obligated to go to Mass, and are Catholic.

Though, he is Catholic in the most simple terms... he was baptized.

He is not Catholic in faith.
He is not Catholic in action.

At least, he is a heretic... maybe even in apostasy, but only God knows because we know that he's untruthful - so we can't believe anything he says.
I cannot and do not believe he is Catholic. I think he's lying about it just to get votes. I think he also plans on doing something bad to us if he becomes President. Even if he is going to mass and recieving communion. I think its al lie..
I'd like to remind everyone that bearing false witness against one's neighbor is a sin. In fact, it's a violation of the Ten Commandments, which are the most basic laws of God possible. When you wildly speculate about someone's catholicity, and when you assume that he's going to do bad things that he may or may not do, this is a sin of bearing false witness -- it doesn't even necessarily have to be untrue for it to be so, because even if it turns out to be true, at this moment it is not true because it has not happened yet. If it turns out to be untrue, then it is most certainly sinful.

As a matter of fact, saying that he is not Catholic is bearing false witness against him. Until he makes a formal declaration that he is apostasizing, he cannot be considered a formal apostate, and thus is Catholic -- even if in heresy, still Catholic.

I urge everyone who has brought false witness against their neighbor to go to Confession before receiving Communion again.
Didn't he go to Mass in a wetsuit?
No it was a ski-suit!
He also went to an African Methodist church thing.
Kerry is not Catholic.
To be Catholic, one must follow the rules and doctrines of the Catholic faith.
Kerry does not do this, therefore he is not Catholic.
I mean I can parade around calling myself the princess of Canada, but that doesn't make it true!
During a homily a priest referref to an article which said only 33% of "Catholics" believe in the true presence. He then proceeded to say that this was not true, 100% of Catholics believe, the rest are not Catholic.

He is apostasizing!!!! Most liberals are!! He went to a "african methodist" church to recieve communion!! His actions speak much louder than you think! He clearly disobeys church teaching and goes to a "heterodox" so called "catholic" church so he wont be denied communion. I will speak out against him and all those like him. Do me a favor and do not judge me. Don't tell me I'm bearing false witness because I am not. I am speaking from what I see from him on tv, from his actions and his own words. "I Will not be a catholic president"?

I totally agree.

Bearing false witness would be have been just NOT seeing him go directly against the Church.

I even saw him myself on TV, saying the Church is wrong about denying him communion, coz he is pro-choice, then he went and said, he isnt pro-choice in real life, but in his political life he agrees with it.

HUH!?

Bearing false witness means to lie.

We have not lied.

Kerry IS NOT Catholic in deed or word.

Kerry only plays a Catholic on TV.

If Kerry was Catholic, would he not have the One Faith?

Kerry is at least a heretic, only Catholic through baptism (if he was baptised). He goes against so many things the Catholic Church teaches.

Someone using the faith for votes, is not Catholic.

Kerry rejects the teachings of Christ.

Someone can say they're Catholic all they want but if they don't follow the Christ throught the Church established by Christ, then they are not a Catholic.

To say we are bearing false witness is to show one does not know what bearing false witness means.

ironmonk
