Brother Adam Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 All that is, has ever been, and will ever be comes from God.
Brother Adam Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 Can we know anything about this God? The answer is yes we can, through revelation. God has revealed much about himself that we can read both in the Holy Scriptures and learn through the Tradition of the Catholic Church. The teaching of the Church states that life begins at conception when soul is united to the body. Therefore abortion is the intentional taking of a life. It is murder.
qfnol31 Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 What about for a non-Catholic perspective on this...
Brother Adam Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 You'd have to go athiest to beat that argument.
DancesforLove Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 Abortion is wrong in all cases except certain medical cases (the church concurs)
qfnol31 Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 Actually, the Church says none whatsoever, but a Salpingectomy is okay.
Colleen Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004
I win.
I'm confused.
Brother Adam Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004
You haven't proven your point.
You didn't persue it.
qfnol31 Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 From this point on everyone must prove their premises.

qfnol31 Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004
Why are we capable of thought?
Because we share in part of the Imago Dei.
Phatmasser777 Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 Im 95% against abortion, except when the mothers life in danger, then it becomes a neccessary evil. Ive heard of other circumstances where abortion is ethical, but havent really studied much into it.
