When your 21, will you go out for an occasional drink, (ex: New Years, St. Pattys Day, etc.)

[quote name='MichaelFilo' date='Feb 16 2005, 08:10 PM'] I don't thinka nyone at our age should be too well acquanted with wine. I hate the drinking age lawas, and some drinking in moderation is fine at any age. I personally find alcohol a bit too risky for any real drinking. I relaly do like the taste of wine(i've had that and champagne) and it bothers me I liked it. It goes good with well cooked food. Much better than soda anyways. I still don't approve of drinking as often as it is done nowadays, and I don't approve of breaking laws to drink. However, it'd be wrong to shelter a child from alcohol to make it seem mor elike forbidden fruit more than its there and you can have some, just best that you avoid it.

Don't think I don't approve of drinking, I jus tdon't think it's for everyone. Especially those with alcohol problems in their famalies...

God bless,

mmmmmmm alcohol... ya i always try sips of my dads beers and wine and stuff so ive gotten to know the taste pretty well and i must say i like it alot. I've tasted a few sips of harder liquor also and i suprisingly didnt mind it but i will not drink until im 21 because 1) its not that big of a deal since my parents are pretty open about letting me drink a lil (its not really that tempting forbidden fruit) and 2) my parents dont want me 2 but i'll probably have a beer with my dad on my 21st birthday.

There is nothing wrong with having a drink once in awhile. It's all about balance and self-disicpline. Jesus drank wine, and than was done...He did not overindulge. The problem is when people use alcohol to avoid the mishaps in their lives and numb painful emotions. This is why alcoholics have such a difficult time breaking the vicious cycle. They don't know any other way to cope with the difficulties of life. So remember that moderation is good in all things.

I will drink wine or beer, but in small amounts. From what I hear, getting drunk isn't a pleasant experience at all

wow I'm turning 22 in 3 months (yeah i know, I'm old) but I haven't touched beer yet. Probably won't plan to either since its something I really would rather not get around doing.

I don't drink now, and I can not see myself drinking in the future. I don't like the taste, and I don't like how it makes people act, nor do I like the potential physical harm...

Drink tea! lol
