the_rev

When your 21, will you go out for an occasional drink, (ex: New Years, St. Pattys Day, etc.)

The vice described above (in the bolded section) is essentially excessive temperance (something like making teetotalling an article of the Faith).

I didn't have any alcohol til I was 22, and that was because my friend Chris was turning 21, and I said I'd go with him.

Drinking isn't a big deal, if you don't make it one. I'd much rather have a Sobe or a Cherry Coke any day. Or Vanilla Coke.

Here's a question: Who knows the proper use of "your" and "you're"?

lol j/k, just a pet peeve of mine.

Drinking doesn't mean drunkeness. Alot of people seem to be making that association. "I won't drink because I don't want to get drunk and become an alcoholic." Well, I don't want to become drunk or an alcoholic either, but I still drink. I know my limits, and I drink socially, and always in the comfort of my own home.

When I turn 21, I will definitely drink, but I will not get smashed. And I will definitely drink on special occasions. I'm from an Italian family. It's a given. :P

Before I turned 21, I said I would not drink. Well, that has changed. Every now and then if we go out for dinner, if there is a family gathering, or sometimes just at random times I'll have a drink. I usually don't have more than one though. ONce or twice I've had two, but I NEVER want to be drunk.

I don't thinka nyone at our age should be too well acquanted with wine. I hate the drinking age lawas, and some drinking in moderation is fine at any age. I personally find alcohol a bit too risky for any real drinking. I relaly do like the taste of wine(i've had that and champagne) and it bothers me I liked it. It goes good with well cooked food. Much better than soda anyways. I still don't approve of drinking as often as it is done nowadays, and I don't approve of breaking laws to drink. However, it'd be wrong to shelter a child from alcohol to make it seem mor elike forbidden fruit more than its there and you can have some, just best that you avoid it.

Don't think I don't approve of drinking, I jus tdon't think it's for everyone. Especially those with alcohol problems in their famalies...

God bless,
Mikey

I think I will drink occasionally... but i definately dont want to get drunk.. for one thing, i have tried beer and hate it, and another thing, i dont want to hurt my parents.. they've already had one kid with a party life-style and ive seen how much it kills them... idk, but i just couldnt live with myself if i knew i was the cause of their sorrow

I was 21 once.

I've come to the conclusion that when you go out with friends every now and then, it's more fun to drink responsibly than to not drink at all.
