cmotherofpirl Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 I am not even going to ask... oh what the hell What were you thinking.....
dUSt Posted January 13, 2005 Author Posted January 13, 2005
What were you thinking.....
It's a drastic strategic move that had to be made. It will pay off in the long run. Sometimes we must suffer to achieve happiness.
JazzforJesus Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 ah you must consummate, that is at beginning but if its by dust choice its not required that he have sex frequently its more of he can cause that it is the only institution that sexual intercourse is allowed. so if by his choice can be celibant. but i dont know about this using it as power
Krush2k2 Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Maybe its because he wants to focus alot more of his energy and time to Phatmass and the various projects its brings ? lol just a thought
Thy Geekdom Come Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005
ah you must consummate, that is at beginning but if its by dust choice its not required that he have sex frequently its more of he can cause that it is the only institution that sexual intercourse is allowed. so if by his choice can be celibant. but i dont know about this using it as power
Well, yes, the marriage is consummated, so he technically can...I just don't think it's wise...it's central to marriage and many marriages fall apart when there is no sex. It's part of the glue that holds the couple together. It's one of the most important parts of the sacrament, if not the absolute most important. If you don't have sex, then marriage is a moot point. Sex is vitally important to the station of marriage.

I think Chesterton said it best... "Marriage is a duel to the death which no man of honor should decline."
JazzforJesus Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 i hope you discussed this with you wife and got her approval and participation

I think Chesterton said it best... "Marriage is a duel to the death which no man of honor should decline."
I would argue that the best dueling you can do is in the marital embrace. The graces it bestows, say my sources, are far greater for a married man than he can get from abstaining. For a celibate man, of course, he can get far more graces from abstaining. Besides, celibate technically means "unmarried"...so you can't be celibate.
Krush2k2 Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Dust does this have anything to do with allocating more time to Phatmass projects?

dUSt Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 I'm just saying. If I abstain, she must abstain by default, because I'm the only option when it comes to that. Just like if she decides to eat only health food, I pretty much have to eat only health food while at home, by default. All my actions directly affect her, and vice versa.
