Dj 86
It's in GOD's hands. I have to try to take comfort knowing that he is perfect, and he is in control.
ironmonk
I understand that some say the 'rumor' thing.... but, this is second hand info... not fifth or sixth. I don't think Jeff would misunderstand that the Pope passed coming from the person who was in the office when the Bishop got the call. God Bless, ironmonk

RemnantRules
he will be the third pope with the title, the Great! His brain and heart is still active, we still must learn from his teachings even at his last breath.
Brother Adam
Confirmed: Vatican: Pope Not Dead. I hate when people jump the gun. When the Vatican confirms he has died, then let's announce it. When SkyItalian said he had died the entire campus cried out in weeping and mourning. All of our evening classes have been cancelled thankfully. megrc
I have to go to work now, and unfortunatley I can't have the radio on, but I will continue to pray for our Holy Father.
StPiusVPrayForUs
Confirmed: Vatican: Pope Not Dead. I hate when people jump the gun. When the Vatican confirms he has died, then let's announce it. When SkyItalian said he had died the entire campus cried out in weeping and mourning. All of our evening classes have been cancelled thankfully.
Locally, they asked a priest at a Cathedral and he said that the bishop's office received word from the Vatican that the Pope, is dead. Though that is what the reporter said and there was no audio from a priest saying that, so who knows?
Theoketos
From what I understand, the Vatican is not denying that he is dead, but that no brain machine failed.
Mrs. Bro. Adam
I am not calling him a liar, I am being cautious. Rumors DO have a way of getting around. I'm sure Jeff understands my caution.
I've heard that Fox news has said that he had passed away, and then a little while later, they changed their minds. I think it's best to wait until we hear from the Vatican. Brother Adam
The media is very 'doomsday' happy. They want to be the first to announce something, so much so they are all to likely to read into things what are not there or jump the gun. With something of such signifigance, let's wait until the shutters and doors are closed. I can't take it emotionally any other way. Breaking news on FOX NEWS: Vatican reports that the Pope is definitely still with us

CatholicAndFanatical
I just spent my lunch hour watching Fox News. I tried to pray the rosary with the people there, but the interpreter (who obviously wasnt Catholic) couldnt follow along and had terrible interpretations of the prayer. It was too distracting. I'll have to pray one tonight for him. This is an exciting and sad time for our Church. SO many issues have unfolded upon us in the last few years (Celibacy, Homosexual Marriages, Priest scandels..etc). I hope and pray that the next Holy Father will as strong in faith and morals. They had a monsignor on FoxNews who said that they would tell the faithful when the Holy Father dies by ringing the St Peters Bell. Not sure if the rosary is done now, but It wouldnt suprise me if this happened after htey finished the Rosary.
Brother Adam
You know what is sooo cool? Thus far Fox News has been completely Theologically correct
CatholicAndFanatical
this is true, im glad they have Priests and Monsignors there talking about it instead of someone who only 'thinks' they know what their talking about.
