Noel's angel Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 i didn't mean here as in Phatmass, i meant here as in my town and the surrounding area
KobeScott8 Posted May 30, 2005 Author Posted May 30, 2005 I also put this topic in the under 20 section to see what they kinda think.
Noel's angel Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 yeah, i noticed and i was gonna post, but since i posted here i thought it was a bit pointless
Extra ecclesiam nulla salus Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 Aren't Catholics in Northern Ireland the most devout in the world?
Noel's angel Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 No-people in Northern Ireland have this thing where they are so proud to be a Catholic, but they don't know anything about Catholicism, nor do they really care. It's because of the whole Catholic vs. Protestant thing. You get loads of people who are so proud to be a Catholic but they don't know what it really involves (if that makes any sense...) Basically people over here are proud to be Catholic because they don't like Protestants, or rather, they don't like Unionists. (Daniel O'Connell has a lot to answer for...)

son_of_angels Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 just a thought guys, arousal is a natural human process, it is not a sin because it is not an act of will. If you go around trying to prevent being aroused then, frankly, you are being STUPID. Arousal is not the same as lust, which is an act of will. Now, making out would be a sin if it implied an act of will intended for sexual intercourse, in a relationship unsuited for this act of procreation. This could be considered lust and therefore, sin.
Aloysius Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 lust is intentionally seeking out arousal. they're not saying run around avoiding arousal all the time, they're saying don't seek out arousal.
toledo_jesus Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 yeah. arousal is unavoidable, really. But you shouldn't look for it.
franciscanheart Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 and like qtheninja said, most people are aroused during a "make-out session" dont make out. kissing is so intimate. save it for your spouse!!
Qoheleth Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 Once a relationship gets physical, it risks becoming just that. Instead of caring for the other person, you start caring for their body. A physical relationship only cheapens the object of one's love.
