Michael Jackson Verdict reached

Hey....what about innocent until proven guilty? He is proven innocent. According to the evidence, proof was not given to the exclusion and beyond a reasonable doubt.

Whatever the reason, he has been found not guilty. I may not like him, but the jury of his peers could not convict him.

I'm glad this is over. Now we can get back to more important world issues like people we've never heard of going missing or the latest celebrity couple.

I think we should pick some random criminal who is going to trial and one day get a hundred people outside the courtroom screaming he's innocent and having posters saying we love him. Maybe then they'll get a clue.

I think what we all need to do is pray for him. If he did do it, pray he repents and seeks forgiveness, and turns to Jesus.

Agreed.

this is disgusting... so glad to know that once my husband is rich and famous we can committ any crime and get away with it as long as we pay out big bucks. to me, the worst part is the disrespect he showed the whole proceedings. if ANY other criminal on trial had shown up late for ANY of the proceedings they would have been held in contempt. michael jackson? we just push the clock back....

um we should be happy. The jury said he was innocent and they got the whole story. That means that children do not have to deal with being molested by him and he has not sinned against God. Think about it, its good news

okay, one thing to be said. Prejudice.
Dont judge someone you dont know, nor have heard every piece of evidence.

Im not condoning anything or agreeing with what he did or has been accused of doing, but i wont condemn what i dont know enough about.

I stopped watching the news a long time ago. Around the time the press crucified Jennifer Wilbanks. I kept thinking, "What business is this runaway bride's personal life of mine? And why does the press seem angry that she didn't turn up dead. And why are they trying to turn their audience against this poor private citizen?"

And when I turned the TV off, I discovered something. It's a beautiful world, and we live in a beautiful country, all you have to do is go outside and look! Just from watching the news, you would think that your children are constantly being preyed upon, and every husband is conspiring to kill his wife. But people for the most part are really nice. Most of this country goes to Church on Sunday. All you have to do is turn the TV off and find out for yourself.

I don't know what interest news agencies have in broadcasting evil and scandalizing us with it, but the evil you see on TV is just a drop of evil in an ocean of nice, kind-hearted people.

The jury found he was not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. It doesn't mean he didn't do it (this would violate causality). If he did commit the crimes but got away with it then he still is guilty before God and it doesn't mean he's any less of a danger to kids. I do think that there wasn't a solid enough case against him to have a conviction, but that doesn't mean he didn't do it.

Besides, the media in America is not something you should base any of your opinions on.

Just look at the Terri Schiavo case..
The amazing bias against Bush in the elections.
Their way of protraying abortion.

You really cant be a judge of this from your living room. You have to be there.

The thing I got mad the most over was how everyone was saying she's responsible for the costly investigation and should pay them back. That's a bunch of carp. The media is responsible for most of the costs. Why? Because if the media hadn't been there no more than a simple search would have been sent out and a few notices would be sent to other police departments. But with the media there, so much as a cop stopping into a donut shop would have elicited the scorn of reporters and so they had to look like they were really trying hard to find this woman. She probably would have called a few days sooner too. Imagine the pressure she was under seeing her face and name constantly flashed on TV while she was in Las Vegas.

I'm troubled and saddened by the lack of charity shown here. The man was found not guilty. Apparently those of you who insist that he's guilty of such a horrible, sickening, crime know more than the jury? Your judgement must be based on something besides what you watch in the media, no?

Charity is a virtue that we must all work on. Accusing someone in a public forum of molesting a child is hardly the act of a saint. :(

Michael Jackson is an oddball, I think we can all agree on that.. he was very very secluded when he grew up, his folks were stict Jehovah's Witnesses, and probably radicle ones at that.. this seclusion kept him from knowing whats right and whats wrong...

he HAS admitted to sleeping with boys.. and said he thought it was perfectly normal to do so.. if this is grounds to claim him guilty, or not guilty.. I have no idea but lets look at the two sinereos that were possible:

the Guilty verdict: it might be more charitable for his own well being to have him go through some type of counsiling, rather than lock him in jail and throw away the key .

the Not guilty verdict: it might be more chariable not only to him.. but everyone that knows him or could possibly get to know him in the future to have him go through counsiling rather than let him keep on doing.. what he does

i guess its good thats its all over with

come on guys, cut him some slack. he was found not guilty on all charges, and so we must treat him as so. he has faced so much scorn and hatred not even just from this trial but from like 10 years ago. leave the poor man alone.
