Fidei Defensor Posted June 14, 2005 Author Posted June 14, 2005
your playing judge its not ur job to do and none things you listed are facts that he commited the crime that was alleged against him. You did not sit in the jury and listen to the trial. So basically you are saying that all the jury members threw the case because of their "infacuation" with mj........doubt it
In addition, the jury got to hear any arguments of the attorneys, testimony in full of witnesses, and even the facial expressions and reactions to things. face it, they were qualified, and we are not since all we have it the media.
Noel's angel Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005 its the child pornography issue that gets me. Unless you have a certain number of pictures, they can't charge you, it makes me sick (i'm talking generally here, not just about Jackson)

homeschoolmom Posted June 14, 2005 Posted June 14, 2005
You cant say that though, you were not there, did not hear ever piece of evidence, nor were able to examine it all.
I agree. I certainly would hate to be tried in the media. I'm not saying that he didn't get some special favoritism from the jurors-- maybe he did. But from what I've heard other celebreties say in interviews, the family in question is a bunch of lawsuit hungry weirdos. HOWEVER... Someone needs to tell Michael that no matter what your personal feelings about how "innocent" and "loving" it is for a man in his forties (nearing fifty!!) to have slumber parties with his young boy friends, it is HIGHLY inappropriate and he should KNOCK IT OFF!!!

They don't ussually but they can, and have done simular things in the past.
Noel's angel Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 He has vowed not to let boys sleep in his bed, so as he won't be 'vunerable' to more accusations
crusader1234 Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Since the members of the jury were the ones who got to take in all of the evidence, I trust their verdict. Is Michael Jackson strange? Yes. But if a person is strange, is that a reason to show them no charity and take it upon ourselves to judge them as if we could look into their hearts and know exactly what they were thinking? No. So for the time being, I'm going to side with the people in the know, that base their verdict on being informed as opposed to people that base their opinion on how he looks. And, like others have pointed out, shouldn't we all be thankful for this verdict? I mean, isn't finding out that kids haven't been molested a good thing?
Noel's angel Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 I was reading a newspaper today and it basically said that a lot of the jury simply hated Gavin's mother and that had a major influence on their decision. One said something to the effect of 'I couldn't stand that women ever since she clicked her fungers at us'. Whether he did anything wrong or not, I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. He may seem strange to others, but he thought his actions were perfectly normal. Lte's be glad that the trial has at least made him realise they weren't
Nicole8223 Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 God will judge him. I personally think that he is an easy target due to his eccentric lifestyle. If someone wanted money, it seems so easy to put this charge on him...but we are not the judge of any man's crime. It is not our place to make a judgement, and if we do, then we are falling into sin. Leave it to the Lord. St. Francis deSales says to consider everyone saintly, because God's forgiveness can come in one moment. Forget the court, it is God who judges, NOT US. My heart goes out to him. He is hurting and broken due to an abusive childhood that turned into a fantasy world of fame. Thank God there is still time for his conversion. Father in Heaven, pour your blessing upon Michael Jackson. I hope he finds you, Lord, and He can see that he is not alone in hurting. Heal his broken past and the consequences it has had on his life. Amen.
Carrie Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 Personally, I think these court cases need to be kept out of the media. If Joe Schmo's case doesn't get loads of coverage on tv, neither should anyone else's. Then maybe the media would focus on important issues. It's all too sensationalized.

Vengeance is mine, says the Lord. He is an easy target, easy to despise, easy to laugh at, easy to put down. Although he is the one most responsible for his own misery (to that there can be little doubt), we should not add to it.
picchick Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 We need to stop worrying about Jackson and start worrying about the kid. Pray for him and the rest of the abused kids and any kid that he comes in contact with. It is sad when America says that they will try their best to keep kids safe and then they do this.... Meg

Noel's angel Posted June 15, 2005 Posted June 15, 2005 picchick, you don't know that Jackson did abuse anyone

Meg
Um, unless you're omnipresent or something, you shouldn't be making that judgement. Apparently, all the evidence points to nothing having happened. Casting stones at a guilty person is bad enough, casting stones at somebody that has been acquitted is even worse and makes absolutely no sense.
