Brother Adam

Maybe there were men in the first century that grabbed the Bible and ran into the woods away from the Christian Church which immediately became curropt and turned into Catholicism? And they hid for 1600 years until the inspiring Luther and Calvin and Zwingli helped them out of the woods.

They would say it the Church became curropt slowly and maintained some truth for a few years.

Well, for starters, how could this tiny little community separated from everyone be insured of correctness?

Also, aren't they missing a part of the Gospel, something about spreading the same Gospel to all the world?

They were, in an underground movement, but were persecuted by the curropt Chrisitans.

Not mormon, Waldenese. And this IS a debate table. You are just afraid you are wrong.

:P I was just kidding.

The fact of the matter is that there is no evidence to prove that position and so it's not rational to believe it when we do have another answer which is rational.

See you have no evidence so you just through the "no you have no evidence" argument out there. For shame! Oh the humanity!

Remember all of those early paintings by Christians we found in caves? Where do you think those came from. Nana

And another thing, the priesthood has ended. None of the apostles considered themselves priests.

Okay I'm probably gonna get this terribly wrong but lol I don't mind

If the early Christian Church was a corrupt Church. Then why has it survived this long ? I mean it has had some really bad years throughout history but it has never once fallen, which would fit the description of the Bible verse saying that it shall not fall.

Also if these other people had the real Truth then weren't they supposed to spread it at all costs according to the Bible. The Gospel Truth was to be spread no matter what and people had the responsibility of correcting others.

Also do you think miracles would occur in a corrupt Church ? How would you explain Apparitions, Eucharistics Miracles, healings, etc. Not sure if God would allow such things to occur within a Church that had been corrupted and teaching HIs Word incorrectly.

Sure they did. Priest is from the German for the word "prebyter"...try disputing that that's in the Bible.
