This really is a problem. I've had random men honk their horns and yell out to me when I'm carrying my children to and from the car. Its like they just don't get how rude they are being.

Its co-ed by floor, and its actually not that bad or smelly, I have a couple friends who used to be in that dorm There is anotther co-ed dorm that is co-ed by wing (each wing actually has a seperate name, but they are connected by lobby areas in the middle).

Compliments are fine, but cat-calls and horn honking when you're leaning over weeding, picking up babies, or getting groceries out of your car are totally uncalled for.

Again, totally uncalled for and disgusting.

I usually wear the same things out and about that I wear at home, with the exception of some strappier tank tops which I only wear at home. If my husband thought something was too showy he'd tell me, so far that hasn't happened. I have no problem with tank tops with slightly wider straps (I think spaghetti straps are sometimes problematic when out in public because some men are just pigs) that show a little shoulder, or even some v-neck tops (admittedly I have a couple that are more revealing than I perfer, but thats only been since having children and I usually pin them to close the V a little higher). Most of the time the problem isn't even what we wear, though, its that men see a girl and think that somehow we are flattered to be honked and hooted at. (I've had it happen wearing long, loose pants, and high-necked t-shirts.)

Hello im a 20 yr old male living in western Massachusetts and personally i like what girls wear in the winter months better then i do in the summer months.

I just think that as every new generation the girls dress more revealing younger and younger. I find it hard to believe there parents are allowing that but thats off topic.

I like when i women dresses as if they were coming to see my parents everyday, period. Thats the easiest way i can explain it really. It also doesnt bother me if a girl is just wearing comfortable clothes, i do why cant they haha. I like to see girls respect there own bodies.

I also dont think there should be a difference in the way you dress be it single or married. I have one golden rule and that is like i said before. Dress the way you feel "comfortable", respectable, and as if your meeting your future husbands parents. Ok im done with my ranting

Oh man the stuff yall are mentioning happen to me all the time it drives me crazy! Like completely modest clothing and walking to the library and you get honked at and stuff i hate it. blah. I think its ok for guys to have there shirts off at certain times swimming, working outside or in extreme heat. But not all the time for just whenever.

Question.

I think that much of the time, girls want guys to wear shirts because they're completely turned off. No girl wants to see "flabby" stomachs hanging over a guy's shorts, nor do they want to look at hairy chests... most I know, anyway. Just like guys don't seem particularly attracted to rather large girls in tight shirts and tight jeans where they've got rolls of fat (excuse the image, if you please) hanging over the jeans. It's not pretty.

So... do we want guys in shirts because it's tempting, or because it's gross?

both. It's immodest for guys to just hang around without shirts on, because it might be a near occasion for some women (and possibly other men, too).
