Sojourner Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I just realized that my last issue of First Things was for two months. I've been looking for the September issue, and so I went to the site and the last one was the August/September issue. Now I'm bummed. I love reading First Things. I need to get more magazine subscriptions, I think.
zabbazooey Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 I do things like that all the time.....what is First Things?
zabbazooey Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Oh I guess I could click on the link....
Sojourner Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005
HSdad likes that one too.
I'm sure he does. It's right up his alley. There was a great article on the death penalty in it last time. Very interesting. I've been trying to find a Readers of First Things group here in Indy, but I've had no luck.

It's an inter-denominational magazine that explores religion in the public square. Very thoughtful analysis of current trends and developments.
Carrie Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Stick it back in the mailbox, pretend its a new copy and re-read it. (hmm, I'm still not funny)
Jaime Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 That's a different magazine called "Second Things"

Carrie Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 *confused look* I had a good idea?? Go figure!
Sojourner Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 I'm sure you get them from time to time. For example, your avatar was a good idea. The Pink Panther is awesome.

Sojourner Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 How about the Snorks? Or My Little Pony? Strawberry Shortcake? So many choices, so little time ...
Sojourner Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005
fraggles!
Ha ha! I just thought of fraggles recently. We have a bulleting board at work where they asked us all to post pictures of us having fun with our pets over the summer. I have no pets at the moment, so I posted pictures of my pet rocks: Fraggle, Gibraltar, and Kid.

Sojourner Posted September 6, 2005 Author Posted September 6, 2005 Smurfs were probably my all-time favorite, though. Mom was wishy-washy about it, because she didn't like the fact there was a wizard in it (Gargamel). But all us kids in the neighborhood I grew up in loved that show. We used to play Smurf Tag.
Carrie Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Never played smurf tag. My friends and I played He-man and She-rah games alot. we were always saving someone. I miss being a kid.
