homeschoolmom Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005
Seriously I'm buying the wings cuz I'm a guy.
You can buy Soj's wings... cuz you're a guy, but HSdad buys my wings... cuz I'm his wife.
Jaime Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I buy food for married women. Its called chivalry.
Jaime Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 I thought the topic was Sojourner moving to MN, going to a law school like William Mitchell, living in your basement, joining some club with hsdad And teaching her the joys of hot wings.

Wow, my life is all planned out now! Sounds fantastic. Although, if I'm going to Minnesota, I'm kinda interested in the law school at the University of St. Thomas. The former dean of the Notre Dame law school helped get it started a few years ago. And, I also think we agreed that I was going to be living in the clubhouse in the backyard, not the basement. But everything else sounds great.
Jaime Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 UST is my alma mater. Also Camster's and a few others

Fascinating guy. I'd like to be just like him when I grow up. (Only female, of course).
Jaime Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Its a good school!! Its a bit liberal. But its got a great reputation. The grad school programs are wonderful. I don't know anything about the law school but I think its fairly new. It still has that new law school smell.
homeschoolmom Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 The Law School (which is in Minneapolis as opposed to UST which is in St. P) has the funkiest chapel. Our former associate pastor said mass there and we went from time to time. Now he's teaching there.

Yeah, I think he only just got the law school program started within the last six or seven years. But, coming from ND, which is a very good law school, I can't imagine the program would be bad. I looked at the enrollment stats for the incoming class and the academic scores looked good.
Jaime Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Well then its settled. UST for law school Hsmom's tree fort for your accommodations (Hsmom, is it wired for satellite tv?) First Things Club with HSdad We show you the joys of hot wings. Also if you have any purple in your wardrobe, it will come in handy being a Tommie and a Minnesotan.

Our yard is sadly lacking in trees. Unless sticks count at trees. Seriously, you're better off in the basement-- more room. And HSson can testify that you can have independent enterance and exit from the windows.

I own a purple chair ... hsmom can tell you all about it. When they visited last, hsbaby jumped all over it. I also have purple velvety curtains in my bedroom, purple sheets for my bed, a purple desk chair, purple pillows, and yes, some purple clothing. My undergrad colors were purple and gold. (Taylor University -- go Trojans!) Although not as much as I used to. I used to buy purple all the time, because it's a great color for me, but then one of my friends made me stop and told me I need to branch out. I've been self-conscious about it ever since. Can you really be a Minnesotan without having been born there, though?

How much rent will you charge? And do you have room for a purple chair?

Cam42 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 If you don't have purple in your wardrobe, that is ok, the bookstore has a lot of purple. There is also a college shop in the MOA. They have a lot of Tommie apparel. Finally, whenever, Himester and I get together we do Hot Wings at Hooters. I will have to enter into secret conclave with Himey (oops, I mean, hot stuff) and we can decide if you can be part of the Hooters Hot Wings consistories that exist when we see each other. YAY!!!!! Welcome to Minnesota
