Old_Joe
What do your name(s) mean? I'm just curious. Use this site if you don't know it off of the top of your head----> Name definitions Mine are: Zach: Remembered by God Nicholas: Victory of the people Joseph: God adds or God mulitiplies Sposato: Bethrothed or Marriage (You'd think that alone would make it easy to decide my vocation.) An even better question is: Does the meaning of your name(s) define you as a person? In other words, could someone use the meanings to describe your and/or your life? jiyoung
I've heard different meanings for my name but they're all pretty similar. Clara means clear, bright, glowing, illustrious. My Korean name, Jiyoung, means something like eternal intelligence (Ji is for ji-hae, intelligence, and young is for young-won, which is eternity). My last name means land, I think, like your nation, something like that. I don't know if my name(s) really describe me so well. I'm pretty smart, okay, and I don't know, is there something very bright and glowing about me? Whatever. But there you go...

I was kind of dismayed the first time I looked it up in a dictionary, though!)
Old_Joe
I've been looking up names of friend's and you'd be surprised how often it fits them. For instance: I have a friend whose name means poor and he had some financial trouble a while back.

ofpheritup
Pamela is supposed to mean "sweet as honey." Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I'll be honest. Middle name is Clare. If LIGHT means telling the truth, I'm there. I don't know what my last name means. I need to go look it up.

I have this genealogy book on "overfields in the United States" and there are only a couple thousand of us. anyways i was looking online to find the meaning of my last name. i found a sports card on Ebay........the guy on the card is named Jack Overfield..........i guess he was a Soccer star in England in the 1950's. i thought about buying it cuz i have a collection of sports cards......lol.
