My baptismal name is:

Dolores (Our Lady of Sorrows)
Louise ?
confirmation -Joan ?

Not too long ago I met someone with the name Dolores and she said, "I don't claim that name because it means pain and sorrow." To which I said, "I'd be happy to claim any pain or sorrow our Blessed Mother had." She didn't know what to say after that.
What do your name(s) mean?  I'm just curious.  Use this site if you don't know it off of the top of your head----> Name definitions

Mine are:

Zach: Remembered by God
Nicholas: Victory of the people
Joseph: God adds or God mulitiplies
Sposato: Bethrothed or Marriage (You'd think that alone would make it easy to decide my vocation.)

An even better question is: Does the meaning of your name(s) define you as a person?  In other words, could someone use the meanings to describe your and/or your life?

Mine are:

John: God gave

Edward: guardian of prosperity

Anthony: priceless

Grove: trees?

So, what you're saying is God gave me to my parents as a priceless guardian over the prosperity of trees. hmmm. Okay!
