Thy Geekdom Come Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Sojourner, Carrie, and I can co-write a piece on Natural Exercise Methods and why people need to take breaks after long periods of exercise in certain circumstances, while others, who can bear the weight of the fullness of exercise, may exercise at will with no real discipline in the sense of setting a rigorous schedule.

dUSt Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005
Is it gonna be an actual separate blog or hosted on Phatmass?
It will be on phatmass. Since it will be an RSS feed, places like myCatholic.com, Google, MyYahoo, etc will be able to allow their users to display the headlines on their homepages as well.

(Sounds more like a topic for a heath and fitness mag)
Sojourner Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 When would you want us to start submitting stuff? And could I post using my real name? I've already got two ideas for posts.

Did you not study Theology of the Body? Are you some sort of dualist?!

Like it says in 1 Corinthians:
19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
Exercise is a form of honoring God with your body.
Era Might Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 (edited) Hey Raphael how much do you bench? Just curious. : Edited September 20, 2005 by Era Might
Thy Geekdom Come Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005
Yeah. Like it says in 1 Corinthians: Exercise is a form of honoring God with your body.
Exactly. Plus, it's nice to exercise...it makes your spouse happy...being physically fit, that is.

However, in all actuality, my legs are shockingly strong. I maxed out the squat machine at 365 lbs.

Exercise increases your endorphins, which allows you to be happier and more loving to everyone in your life. Exercise. It does a body good.
dUSt Posted September 20, 2005 Author Posted September 20, 2005 All posts will be with people's real names for legitimacy reasons. You may choose to keep your identity seperate from your phorum identity if you want. That's your call. I won't have the resources to screen or proof every post, so it's important that anyone who is allowed to write have the ability to check themselves for accuracy and orthodoxy. Those who don't live up to the standards will simply be executed.

philothea Posted September 20, 2005 Posted September 20, 2005 Well, it looks like you have enough volunteers, but I'd be happy to take part if there's a slot.

I'm certain that I can be orthodox.
