it's not surprising that so many soldiers report the same experience. the power of suggestion is a powerful thing. If one person talks about it, then that idea is in their head and so if they are creeped out they will naturally jump to the conclusion that they have seen the same "ghost".

The reporter herself said she experienced something [b]before[/b] she heard the reports of "ghosts". Thus, it couldn't have been an influence from the other events that occured.

We have to cautious still, however, spirits are a [b]reality[/b].

Ok I don't want to hijack this thread or nothing but why would souls linger on earth after they pass on? They either go to heaven, purgatory or hell do they not?

yes, it very well could have been an influence. Why do you think she was there? "ok, for your next story we'll be sending you to the school the Nat'l Guard is using. There is nothing to report, really." No, she was sent there because of this story, so she knew things were happening. She hadn't heard specific stories yet is all. I find myself wondering if her "cloud" wasn't just some bugs that went through that hole in the ceiling.

I agree, spirits are a reality...but not spirits like these!

Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory are not "wheres". They are states of being. Souls in Hell could influence our physical world.

I'm not sure how I feel about ghosts. Part of me wants to believe in them, or that they exist, because it demonstrates that there is an afterlife. But a part of me does not want to believe in them, because their existance may not demonstrate a [b]Christian [/b]afterlife. I feel the same way when reading about near death experiences.

As far as the scripture in Revelation, I admit it is interesting, but I still don't think that it means the world is ending soon. Granted, No one but the father knows for sure. But it's just my feeling.
