Have you ever tried using Holy Water to bless yourself before you go to sleep? It's worth a shot!

I have a bottle of holy water right by my bedside, but I never thought about that.... that's a great idea!

There is a prayer I like to say before sleep. (I need to get into the habit of saying it again).

Bless, O Lord, the repose that I am about to take, that with renewed strength, I may be the better enabled to serve you.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I give you my heart and my soul.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, assist me in my last agony.
Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, may I breathe forth my soul in peace with you.

Rising under the protection of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph and armed with the sign of the Holy Cross. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. By the sign of the Cross, deliver us from our enemies, you who are our God. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Sometimes in between that and going to sleep I pray for a happy death, things like Into Your Sacred Hands, living and dying, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I commend my soul. or St. Joseph, terror of demons, pray for me, now and at the hour of my death. or St. Joseph, patron of the dying, obtain for me a happy death.

It's usually better just to vegetate though.

That said, I'm not sure that every bad dream is at the suggestion of the enemy. It could just be your brain at work, or it could be a sign from God, telling you that you have a brain tumor or a dietary condition, or something like that.

I'm praying that you have sweet dreams tonight!

gosh, i hope I don't have a brain tumor..... :sadder: that would be scary

the dreams usually have to do with certain events that have already happened, or what could have happened if I had done something differently.... then I wake up and I think I'm still in the dream for about 15 minutes, which is the scary part because I am never sure if it's real or not.

I think it is because you are healing! (I'm not a doctor. I don't really know if brain tumors cause nightmares. I suspect there can be pathological reasons, though.).

That wouldn't be good to have a brain tumor.
