You'd have to ask Jen what's the most romantic thing I've done. :P:

As for her, well, what she just told me that she did last night...that was very romantic.

When you fall in love and choose to continue in that love, you deliberately choose to be totally emotionally vulnerable to the other person. You let the other see you as you really are, not how you generally wish others to see you. Everyone wants to look good and noble and kind and generous etc, but to be honest with someone and let them see you on your really bad days, and to give them the chance to love you anyway is a terrifying proposition. To be uncensored and unflinchingly honest is difficult and generally not something we do naturally. I don't mean the "yes you look fat in that dress" commercial kind of thing, and common sense does apply, but the "I don' feel loving today and I need cared for kind of statements " that are very hard for people to verbalize to their partner. We are all so afraid of rejection.

And it think this is MUCH harder for guys than girls to do .

I think that's a blanket statement. Guys have a hard time opening up, but that is also applied as a general stereotype far too much. Ask Jen, I'm a very open person and I'm not embarassed that some of the things I talk with her about are personal.

Maybe I'm not afraid of that because I was always "the loser" of my classes and mostly didn't try to hide it because it was no use. :P:

Funny how the "losers" always end up "getting the girl" in the end...maybe the fact that they're less shallow and more honest has something to do with it.

Although, I'll admit, rejection scares me...and I've worn masks...but it also doesn't take much to earn my trust.

You are an exception then. Mots guys have difficulties expressing their deepest emotions, you are wired differently than us :)

Hmmm...I would say it's the case with most guys.

The only reason I usually keep in deep emotions is to avoid scandal. :P:

I think that there is a disproportionate number of men of faith and values, however, who are more open. Not sure why.

There's a time for men to cry and there's a time for them to be strong. You have to learn on your own when those times are.

Less painful than having it bit off by a knight w/ no arms or legs.

And yet if the women don't find you handsome they'll at least find you handy.
