littleflower+JMJ Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005
thursday is a holy day of obligation? I feel like an idiot...um, a pickle even.
ok.
The Joey-O Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Cuz God foresaw that you'd be a pickle in a pickle jar.
Cam42 Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005
still disagree and I think in grace and forgiveness and the whole "christ-thing" it is more about us becoming sanctified and working towards our relationship with God and handling our vice. Not "re-paying" indiovidual sins.
And our becoming sanctified is the whole point. Look at my explainations in the other thread.
N/A Gone Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 ok, i will try...I understand if it is encoragement in something that helps us with the sanctification proces, I dont like the whole "do this and you dont need to pay for sins later" talk.,
thessalonian Posted December 5, 2005 Author Posted December 5, 2005 Someone else didn't see that I started one.
thessalonian Posted December 5, 2005 Author Posted December 5, 2005
ok, i will try...I understand if it is encoragement in something that helps us with the sanctification proces, I dont like the whole "do this and you dont need to pay for sins later" talk.,
Sin has consequences, even when forgiven. Did you read Hebr 12?
N/A Gone Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 yea..but I dont see it as a payment thing, rather that sin effects us.
N/A Gone Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 i would almost go as far as to say sin isnt the issue besides the effect it has on our sanctification process
