Great commentary!

You have to show it to me.

Alos, I wanted to add that the historical-critical method has gotten a bad rap, especially in its use in the NAB footnotes.

For those we wish to know what then Cardinal Ratzinger, Pope John Pope the Great (yeah, that's what I call him!), and The Pontifical Biblical Commission thinks about the Historical-Critical method and Biblical Interpretation in general, PLEASE, do your self and others around you a favor.

READ the PBC's The Interpretation of the of the Bible in the Church. All you steubei students can pick it up in the Bookstore.

It is pretty much the Bible for Interpretation for the Catholic Exegete (or any one for that matter!).

So important in fact, that it was one of two documents I included on the old website (with Dei Verbum) on the Bible. It will be one of many when my catechetical website is finished. Funky how I've read it many times and still remain a 'creationist'.

It's also in the "Biblical Documents" from LTP, "Welcome the Catholic Church" CD, and on the Vaticans website.
