You gotta love any habit, but especially the more simple styles.

I dunno.... I have to say that "blueberry" is really the best shade of habit. :P:

The colors of the habit are significant  , e.g., blue is the color of Mary and often symbolizes devotion to her, pink signifies the Holy Spirit, maroon signifies the blending of blue for Our Lady and red for Our Lord's Passion.

I love the Lord's Passion, he gave his life for us, and just how can we ever repay him???

Dude, its totally representin' the Holy Spirit.vv :saint:

Think of Buddhist nuns.... I think an orange habit would be awesome! :topsy:

And I do not like construction cone orange!

I like this orange

It is not flourescent!

But I think that this kind of color combo would be ideal.... then you'd be a REAL flame of divine love!

Those Orders are cloistered, though, these ones weren't, unless they changed to a cloistered order, can you do that?

Do many Orders now a days have a feast habit, one that is different then the ones worn everyday?

yes, an Religious or Order can receive permission to go from Non-Cloister to cloistered..but not the other way around...the reasons why? are in the Summa and canon law

I really like the blue grey of the Friars of the Immaculate.

But just as much, or even more, Carmelite brown ..

And also all the Franciscan shades, brown, grey, etc.

But also the off-white of the Carthusians, but even better, the Carthusian habit, with the light blue veil of the Srs of Bethlehem. :j

Awesome, yes, and expensive :x We had one in the gift shop at OLAM of a PCPA, and I don't think she was selling because of her pricetag.

VOLS?

I still think an orange habit for the Holy Spirit would be beautiful. There is no liturgical orange and blue is rare. I wonder why these colors are so neglected.

black and white, or brown black and white. those are always beautiful! ^_^

i was going to say black for men, white for women. since there was only one choice, i chose brown for both. it seems easier to maintain than solid black or solid white?

Ora et Labora

definitely hard to keep solid white clean!
