He has a right to his opinion. :)
And I have a right to make suggestions, as do you. ;)

BTW: He doesn't have a right to his opinion when his opinion violates rules of phatmass, which it did.

No public criticizing of the mods or moderator actions or decisions.

:)

True.

I rarely post in controversial threads anymore, and I even limit my theological posting here, because as an Eastern Catholic I would probably get in trouble if I didn't.

even Roman Catholics who are more traditional get in trouble sometimes. I'm not talking about really radical, schismatic, uncharitable ones, either.

Actually he does have a right to his opinion even if it is contrary to the rules of Phatmass, and he can even post his opinion in a manner that people here don't like, but the moderators of course have the power to suspend or ban him if he does.

I started this thread thinking it would last about 3 or 4 posts before getting bounced to the Lame Board. Now it has taken on a life of its own...
Apy, I am liking the liturgy though...I am tellin' ya. I am liking it a lot.
My theology began moving in an Eastern direction back in 1999, but I only began attending Divine Liturgy in August 2003 when I started work on my MA in theology at FUS in Ohio. After attending the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom for about a year and a half I petitioned the Archeparchy of Pittsburgh for a change of ritual Church, and it was granted on Lazarus Saturday 2005. I love the Byzantine tradition, and I feel quite at home in it spiritually. Nevertheless, I'm sure it is not for everyone, but it certainly works for me.

It's not semantics: he can post whatever he wants, but he risks getting suspended or banned. Such is life.

that kinda goes without saying. she obviously wasn't saying he can't have his opinions if they are contrary to the rules of PM or that he isn't able to post them.

Actually, he can post them, and his posts can be deleted and he can be suspended or banned.

I know, but that messes up my Windows Media Center. When my vision gets too strained I either stop posting or I use the little zoom button to temporarily increase the size of things in IE.
