I remember when Nick at Night first started, some time around 1985, before that Nickelodeon went off the air at about 6:00PM.
Pinwheel in the morning, cartoons like The Little Prince and Belle & Sebastian during the day, You Can't Do That On Televison in the afternoon, then "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhh".
(Um, hat's the sounds the TV made when Nick went off the air )

Any one remember Danger Mouse and Banana Man?

I never understood it when I was a little kid.

Why would they put on all those shows that the old people loved,
when the old people were the ones that always wanted to fall asleep early.
I just thought it was bad marketing...

I'm an old woman. I remember waiting all week for the new Star Trek episode, and I'm not talking about TNG. I'm also a night owl. Besides, I never have to worry about seeing Gilligan naked so old programs are safer.

Nick at Night used to be the bomb! ^_^ That was my favorite time when I was little. If my mom let me stay up that late, I was always delighted.

Ah, the good ol' days when I could watch "You Can't Do That on Television" in the afternoon, then in the evening I'd watch Patty Duke, Dobie Gillis, all those old 50s and 60s shows....They were still playing the old classics only 6 years ago when I had morning (all-day) sickness and couldn't do anything but lie on the couch watching TV. What happened???
