Homestarlover85 Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 i think i have only carried one with me for like a week, but thats when i forgot it was in my book bag
IcePrincessKRS Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 I voted yes because I have gone places without my rosary and I have never heard that quote before, and since I'd never heard I wouldn't have necessarily always made the effort to keep one with me. I don't usually go without it, though, because I keep one in my purse and one in our truck.
Guest thomasaquinas3 Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 I have a little decade rosary that is almost always in my pocket. I find that saying a decade when I am on the bus, or when I finish my schoolwork a little early, can give great peace throughout the day.
ryanmeyersmusic Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 i've got one at home, one in my car... i think that more often than not i end up saying the rosary without an actual rosary...
benedict_x Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 I carry two in my bag.... Why? cause the people I sometimes hang out with never bring theirs .... I wonder if I get double indulgence... hee hee
little_angel202 Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 i carry one in my school coat pocket but i dont often get a chance to say the rosary during school time, i often wear a rosary ring
littleflower+JMJ Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 actually i dont go anywhere without blessing myself with holy water and a scapular. i always have a rosary in my purse, backback or pocket, but not always. but when im looking for one and can't find one, im sad. and i can't pray with my fingers, i lose count. and besides the BLessed Mother always wears her rosary around and she has ten fingers too! nah, but i have been known to use my fingers to pray the rosary  hey when you gotta pray, you gotta pray!!
the_rev Posted March 28, 2004 Author Posted March 28, 2004 I always carry one in my pocket, I'd never leave home without it!
FaustinaVianney Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 I always carry one in my pocket and wear a cord rosary around my belt loop. I also have a finger rosary on my keychain for those times I might forget and need to say a few Hail Mary's or a Divine Mercy Chaplet...
Im4Him Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 (edited) I always have my favorite wood one with me. I usually have another one in my backpack or purse as well. Edited March 28, 2004 by Im4Him

luciana Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 I carry a pretty Fatima one in my purse. when I'm in the car I've prayed w/out, obviosly When I go to Eucharistic adoration I usually just pray w/out it using my fingers to not make the effort of digging it out of my overstuffed purse! I have one on my nightstand, too. I should pray it more often
XIX Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 I carry one sometimes, but not always. He's right though, I should. I should get back to putting one under my pillow when I sleep, too.
Theologian in Training Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 There is a story, though I cannot verify its validity, that relates how someone close the Pope, perhaps his secretary, would frequently see the Pope holding a rosary in his hand, but not always praying it. The person close to the Pope noticed this and really thought nothing of it, however, one day he decided to ask the Holy Father why he merely held the rosary without praying it, to which the Holy Father responded, "holding the rosary is like holding Mary's hand." Fr. Stefano Manelli, author of Devotion to Or Lady, and founder of The Fraciscan Friars of the Immaculate relates, "The Rosary is the precious chain that links us to Mary." Further on he states, "The Rosary is love's bond, it is love's welcome, it is love's respite, in which we tell Our Lady many tmes over, 'I love you, I love you, I love you.' To clasp our beads is like clasping Our Lady's hand." I carry my Rosary always, and if I realize, for whatever reason, that I have forgotten them, I return to get them. I don't carry them because I am prone to superstition of believing that if I don't carry them, I won't have Mary with me. I carry them because it is good to hold Mary's hand sometimes, and to be reminded that I am a mere child of a great Mother, who holds me close to Herself, where I can hear Her heart beat next to mine. God Bless
