WCC_Catholic Posted March 28, 2004 Posted March 28, 2004 i always have it in my purse but i think i am going to start holding it all day in my hand Sarah Marie
Iacobus Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 I should care one with me but pack light has been too drilled into me. I look and see what can I leave at home and the Rosary (during day trips) is on of the things. I have my fingers or a sheet a paper to do it on. But that is just me. Not saying that it is good or right.
Fiat_Voluntas_Tua Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 Why would you go somewhere without your weapon... I often am holding it, because it is illegal to conceal such a powerful weapon. You never know when someone will ask you if the can have a rosary, and i always want to be able to give one away. (this has happened about 5 times.) Spread the Love of Mary our Mother by not saying the rosary but by praying it. Pax et Agape per Maria, Andy
Laudate_Dominum Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 I'm all about it. A Catholic without a Rosary is like a warrior without a sword.
littleflower+JMJ Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004
I'm all about it. A Catholic without a Rosary is like a warrior without a sword.
:saber: you are correct!
stargirl3:16 Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 (edited) I tend to lose things, so my rosary is safe at home. But I wear my rosary ring all the time, so if the rosary is like a sword, then a rosary ring is like a dagger, I suppose. is your rosary blessed by the Pope? Mine is! thicke Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 I've always got mine in my pocket. It actually surprises me to see who doesn't carry one all the time, especially at my Knights of Columbus meetings.
wow, you do have bragging rights that's awesome. I carry a 10 wooden bead chaplet in my pocket... it's nice and compact for easy travel.
Theoketos Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 As a Knight of Mary it is my weapon! To be with out is like going to battle with out a sword, which I would say it is a bad idea. As far as strength goes though I would say that it is more powerful then any mortal blade or bomb.
allis-challmers Posted March 29, 2004 Posted March 29, 2004 I keep on in my truck. I have tried keeping a rosary in my pocket but then I spend more time fixing my rosary than praying it. It seems that everything that I put in my pocket ends up breaking
Fiat_Voluntas_Tua Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Cloth knotted rosaries are the best...they are durable, and light...never break, if they do...wow you must be one hard prayer. Pax et Agape per Maria, Andy
WCC_Catholic Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 the one that i carry in my hand is a glow in the dark plastic one that i love i have no idea where i got it and if i forget that one then i use the bright pink one that i made out of beads!
Fiat_Voluntas_Tua Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 Hail Holy Queen enthroned Above, Oh Maria!
friarMatt Posted March 31, 2004 Posted March 31, 2004 I always have at least three on me....one a gift from a Nashville OP sister who is a dear friend....my franciscan crown i wear from my habit, and at least 2 knotted cord rosaries that I make and give away at the drop of a hat in Christ and Mary, fr. Matt, ofm conv
voiciblanche Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004
Well, would ya!
I used to tote around my rosary, but then I broke it on accident. So now I almost always carry my finger rosary in a pocket, but some of my clothes don't have pockets...so, yeah.
supernerd Posted April 4, 2004 Posted April 4, 2004 I tried. But last time I put it in my pocket, it fell out in the middle of a parking lot. We got home and I realized I didn't have it anymore, so we went back and found it, unbroken, in the parking lot. It had been two hours. How awesome is that?
